Natasha Shorter is an accomplished criminal lawyer with a remarkable career spanning 15 years in the legal profession. Her commitment to justice and her unwavering dedication to her clients have earned her a stellar reputation in the field of criminal law.
Natasha completed a double degree in Law and Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University, graduating with Honours. She was admitted to practise in the Queensland Supreme Court in September 2008. Since then, she has dedicated her career to defending the rights and liberties of individuals facing criminal charges.
Natasha has a real passion for social justice and protecting people’s rights, a quality that makes her a proficient lawyer. Natasha ensures that each case is thoroughly prepared to the highest level and is renowned for her client-centred approach to legal practice. She firmly believes in the principle that every individual deserves a fair and vigorous defence. Her compassionate and empathetic demeanour ensures that clients feel understood and supported throughout the legal process. She takes time to listen and understand her clients unique circumstances and provide the support and legal counsel they need during challenging times.
She has extensive experience in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts, dealing with matters ranging from traffic and domestic violence to complex criminal matters such as murder and manslaughter.
She is a seasoned litigator and advocate and has in-depth legal research and analytical skills enabling her to craft compelling arguments and strategies to secure the best possible results for clients. Her aim is to provide her clients with the necessary support and advice to resolve their matters as harmoniously and inexpensively as possible.
Beyond her legal practice, Natashas is actively involved in various pro bono activities and community initiatives aimed at promoting access to justice and legal education. Her commitment to justice extends beyond the courtroom and is deeply ingrained in her professional ethos.
In her spare time, Natasha loves F45 and spending time on the Sunshine Coast at the beach with her family and two Labradors.
