Merlyn Dryburgh is a solicitor practising in criminal law at Rana Lawyers. Merlyn undertook her undergraduate degree at Queens University in Canada majoring in History, however, she always maintained a passion for law and a hope to one day pursue a Juris Doctor Degree. After a short career in real estate Merlyn chose to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer, she moved to the Gold Coast to complete her Juris Doctor degree at Bond University. While completing her degree Merlyn took part in an internship at a local firm, had a part -time position at a criminal law firm in Brisbane, and volunteered at the local free legal clinic.
Beyond her career, Merlyn finds solace and joy in the outdoors. Horseback riding has become a cherished hobby, allowing her to connect with nature and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
Believing in the power of giving back, she firmly believes that the most valuable work one can do in life is to volunteer. Merlyn has always been driven by the desire to positively impact my community, dedicating my time and skills to serving others. She has a long history of volunteer work both through free legal clinics and horseback riding for the disabled programs.
As a professional Merlyn strives to be understanding and honest with her client base as this is the most likely way to achieve a successful outcome at court.
